  1. Oh my…you saved that man’s life; you really did. My apologies–Hello to you! I happened to hover over your gravatar on another post and found your blog. I’ve been reading through your posts when I read “You broke a man…”, tears ran down my face weeping for both of you. These are words that give me hope that we, as human beings, won’t all fall into the trap of indifference forever. IRL it feels that way most times; people don’t want to ‘get involved’, they’re too busy. I’ve felt his pain all too keenly from experience, and yet can empathize with you, the emotional toll it took from you. I’m proud you persevered; you saved him! My tears still streaming are for only you now in hopes of wiping away even just a small measure of your pain. So fortunate to make your acquaintance—from ‘onestillbreathing’.

    • Thank you so much for taking the time to read my posts, and for going to the effort of leaving a message. It means a lot! I think that all credit goes to Peter since he did all of the hard work, I was merely there to help him along. Thank you once again for your words and I look forward to hearing from you again. Be happy and well!

  2. Your post was amazing! This topic is something I feel very strongly it just infuriates me how people think it is emotionally abuse something and no action is taken. I admire your strength, courage, and listening skills in aiding “Peter”. The post spoke volumes about your character, the world needs more understanding and good people like you. Your post inspired me and I agree with all the emotions you conveyed and shares. I hate how gender stereotypes and skewed interpretations of domestic violence prevent justice from being served. People are people regardless of gender and abuse is abuse regardless of what form it takes. I am getting worked up, I should stop (lol). Thank you for visiting my blog and I am glad you visited because it led me to read an amazing post and witness the thoughts of an amazing individual.

    Sincerely,
    Delicate Strength

    • Thank you for your kind words and for visiting my blog. The timing of us leaving a message on each others’ blogs at the same time is uncanny lol. Great mindfs think alike, and all of that… :-)

The topic of abuse is something that touches me in a deep and personal way, possibly something to talk about another time. I can relate with your passion and feelings concerning it.

Be gentle with yourself and be well.

  3. Thanks for letting me know about your blog. I look forward to perusing your various thoughts on life. It’s nice to know that you are Hugh Mann :)

Thank you so much for the nomination (although having you as a follower of my blog and becoming better acquainted with you means so much more to me!).
